Biography

As a graduate with a background in Product and Furniture Design, my passion lies in exploring the dynamic relationship between products and people, with a focus on how design can enhance the human experience.    Throughout my undergraduate studies, I consistently gravitated towards projects that delved into the intricate connections between individuals and objects, examining how products can serve and evoke emotions in people.

In contrast to traditional approaches that emphasise the physical attributes of objects, I am more inclined towards studying the interaction between people and products. My undergraduate projects reflect this perspective, showcasing a keen interest in observing and understanding the nuances of human interaction with the built environment, products, and even everyday street scenes. Thus, the prospect of delving into the field of Service Design presents an exciting challenge for me. I believe that Service Design goes beyond merely expressing designers' ideas in an intuitive and engaging manner; it has the potential to expand the possibilities of products beyond physical constraints. This liberation from traditional materials and aesthetics resonates with me, and I am eager to explore the boundless possibilities that Service Design offers.

During my undergraduate studies, I encountered challenges while working remotely on a collaborative project due to the pandemic. Despite the limitations, my team successfully implemented a community project, creating a language of communication and activities based on shared childhood memories. The experience taught me the importance of adaptability and effective communication in remote collaborations and how service design helps.

My internship experience at an interior design company during the 2022 summer exposed me to Gestalt psychology, colour psychology theory, and game theory. The collaboration with stakeholders, feedback analysis, alongside material and colour exploration, honed my research skills. Moreover, this experience taught me effective communication, a skill crucial for designers working with non-specialist clients.
